Navigating U offers online and in-person coaching for parents and people in life transitions, like retirement, empty nesting, divorce, a new marriage or relationship, a new career, or a blended family situation.

A river winds through several clusters of large rocks, framed by bright green trees on either side. The sun shines through the trees in the background.

Do you find yourself saying things like:

“I don’t know how to get started.”

“I am afraid to take this risk.”

“I am tired of being this person.”

“I know there is more in me.”

“I want to feel seen.”

“I cannot continue to have this much conflict in my life.”

“I want better relationships.”

“This isn’t how I imagined things working out.”

Maybe you have a vision for how your life should look, but you’re stuck, lacking confidence, or uncertain about how to achieve it. Maybe you’re simply bored and want something new for yourself and your relationships.

Either way, you’re ready to take actionable steps to create change — and write your own life story.

You’re ready to live in a version of your future that you’ve imagined and created for yourself.

You’re ready for your relationship(s) with your children or partner to feel in sync and free of unnecessary conflict.

You’re ready for your days to be seamless or “in flow,” where you feel that exciting balance of competence and challenge.

If any of this sounds familiar, individual or parent coaching can help.

An open, unlined journal sits on a desk surrounded by other items like a magnifying glass, camera, pencil, and glasses, with a map underneath them all.

Coaching is a solutions-focused process. Through online or in-person coaching, we’ll identify and design your vision for change – and work together to help you achieve your goal.

First, we’ll establish your one, five, and ten-year vision for your future.

Then, we’ll work on setting the conditions that are necessary for success. This involves reworking environments, habits, and beliefs, along with building new skills. We set goals, pacing, and priorities.

While you chip away and actively move toward your goal, I provide encouragement, challenge you when needed, and honor your process and pacing.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:

All sessions are payable at the time of service. Payment can be made in cash, credit card, checks, PayPal, and Venmo. For Counseling services only, in addition to the aforementioned payment methods, the client can use a flexible spending or health savings account (HSA). Clients understand they are fully responsible for all fees.

I can also provide a statement complete with diagnosis, if you plan to file a claim with your insurance provider. It is up to the client to obtain information from their insurance provider concerning reimbursement percentage for out-of-network providers.

Currently, Navigating U, LLC does not accept public or private insurance and is private pay only. This decision was made with you in mind, to protect your confidentiality and the quality of your care.

  • When I worked at a local hospital, information including personal health information was stored in a database. When I made a mental health diagnosis, I was required to document it in the “system”, and it was sent to the insurance database. This information is searchable under certain circumstances and may prevent you from obtaining entrance into certain jobs, organizations, and opportunities. In addition, you may be placed or labeled in such a way that it may categorize you as high risk, placing you in a higher insurance rate policy.

Most often, the people I see are not mentally ill but are struggling with transitions or adjustments unforeseen to life circumstances that are temporary. I do not want you to be forced into an inappropriate diagnosis that may impact your life in other ways.

  • When you pay privately, there is more flexibility with session lengths, techniques, time and structure.

  • As a private pay coach, I can limit my caseload, which allows me to be more available and accessible to my current clients. This also allows me to remain fresh for each client, which allows me to provide a higher standard of care.
