Navigating U offers online and in-person individual and couples counseling for frustrated parents, distant couples, people who are feeling stuck, and anyone who wants to move from surviving to thriving.

This image shows a close-up view of a gold compass sitting on a cluster of dark gray rocks.

Do you find yourself saying things like:

“I am tired of always feeling anxious and worried.”

“I am tired of having the same argument over and over.”

“I am done being the one carrying the emotional load.”

“I don’t like who I am anymore. I don’t recognize myself.”

“Life shouldn’t be this hard.”

“I’ve changed, and I want my relationship to change.”

“I have outgrown this role and want a new one.”

Maybe you have been trying the same thing over and over in your life – or your relationship – without results. More than anything, you want change, relief, and to be seen.

You want to feel connected to your child or your partner instead of feeling like a means to an end for someone else’s care.

You want to understand what’s next. You want to understand how to grow – and whether things will be okay once you do

If any of this sounds familiar, individual or couples counseling can help.

Through online or in-person counseling, we’ll explore, try out new ideas and thoughts, and rework your internal dialogues and scripts. Here’s some of what you can expect from our sessions:

Together, we’ll help you demystify the process of thinking, feeling, and behaving, and how these aspects of ourselves connect.

We will increase your comfort with self-awareness and self-discovery, allowing you to be more conscious and in control of what you want your life to look, feel, and be like.

We will challenge and question old beliefs and ways of doing things, along with the rigid ideas of “right and wrong” and “should and shouldn’t.”

Lastly, we will work on power levers like, “mood follows action”, “the higher self-voice”, “re-scripting,” breath work, and lens shifts.

This approach is designed to provide you with tangible change in your life and your relationships. Are you ready to imagine a life where:

You are more present, spending time on things you value, while being at ease, relaxed, and in a genuine state of enjoyment.

You can focus your time and energy on the things that are important to you.

You are thriving vs. just surviving.

You are driving your life forward vs. feeling like your life is driving you.

You spend more time in meaningful interactions with your loved ones.

PAYMENT INFORMATION:

All sessions are payable at the time of service. Payment can be made in cash, credit card, checks, PayPal, and Venmo. For Counseling services only, in addition to the aforementioned payment methods, the client can use a flexible spending or health savings account (HSA). Clients understand they are fully responsible for all fees.

I can also provide a statement complete with diagnosis, if you plan to file a claim with your insurance provider. It is up to the client to obtain information from their insurance provider concerning reimbursement percentage for out-of-network providers.

Currently, Navigating U, LLC does not accept public or private insurance and is private pay only. This decision was made with you in mind, to protect your confidentiality and the quality of your care.

  • When I worked at a local hospital, information including personal health information was stored in a database. When I made a mental health diagnosis, I was required to document it in the “system”, and it was sent to the insurance database. This information is searchable under certain circumstances and may prevent you from obtaining entrance into certain jobs, organizations, and opportunities. In addition, you may be placed or labeled in such a way that it may categorize you as high risk, placing you in a higher insurance rate policy.

Most often, the people I see are not mentally ill but are struggling with transitions or adjustments unforeseen to life circumstances that are temporary. I do not want you to be forced into an inappropriate diagnosis that may impact your life in other ways.

  • When you pay privately, there is more flexibility with session lengths, techniques, time and structure.

  • As a private pay therapist, I can limit my caseload, which allows me to be more available and accessible to my current clients. This also allows me to remain fresh for each client, which allows me to provide a higher standard of care.
